So if you’re vacationing with toddlers and preschoolers I would recommend dining at the Rainforest Cafe over T-Rex. The restaurant was darker than I had expected. I thought Lincoln, who was nearly three at the time, would really love it. T-Rex had been high on our priority list for restaurants for this trip. A lighter choice than I normally would have gone with. I was so full I opted for the sorbet sample for my dessert. We were both extremely full and satisfied. Jeff had the Boneyard Buffet: Rotisserie Chicken and slow-roasted ribs with a side of fries and coleslaw. My plate had steak, a kabob with shrimp, peppers and zucchinni and a seafood dish, all with rice. I had the special, which was called the Triassic Trio. You’ll likely have luck in mid afternoon or late evening. Getting a walk up reservation for that exact moment is tough. If you’re there for the afternoon and want to eat there for supper, check as soon as you arrive at Disney Springs for a supper reservation and they may be able to squeeze you in. I would recommend getting reservations ahead of time for this restaurant. The menu from lunch to supper does not change. T-Rex serves lunch from 11am until 3:55pm and dinner from 4pm until 11:30pm. T-Rex restaurant is located in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs, close to the LEGO store and the World of Disney Store.
